Who am I?
My name is Jasmine, and I have worked in the field of Paediatric Physiotherapy since 2007.
I live in Geraldton with my husband and our four boys.
Jasmine Dwyer

I have lived and worked in Kalgoorlie (WACHS), Perth (Therapy Focus), Port Hedland (WACHS) and most recently we moved from Melbourne (Noah’s Ark) after surviving the longest COVID lockdowns in the world. Having moved here to windy Geraldton fairly recently, I am looking forward to build some great relationships with long term clients here.
I've had lots of experience in Paediatrics, working predominately in the community setting with families of children aged 0-18, and have supported families and children with:
-
Developmental Delay (from babies to school aged children)
-
Plagiocephaly and Torticollis
-
Development Dysplasia of the Hip (DDH)
-
“Funny” walking and gait development including toe walking assessments and gait clinics
-
Developing skills for bike riding
-
Downs Syndrome
-
Cerebral Palsy
-
Progressive Neurological Conditions such as Muscular Dystrophy and other genetic conditions
-
Wheelchair and Equipment assessment and prescription
-
Seating Assessments
-
Standers, Walkers and Alternative Seating
-
Post BOTOX treatment session
-
Post Hip Surgery treatment sessions
I have worked in many multi-disciplinary teams and alongside experienced Speech Therapists and Occupational Therapists, and have a solid understanding of Key Word signing, PECS, alternative communication devices, toilet training, behavioural management, self regulation, and strategies to help in implementing home programs.
Although I am not a Speechie or OT, I use these strategies in my sessions so we can get the most out of our sessions and can help teach parents how to use these strategies to reach their physiotherapy goals.
